Full membership in the Warforge Discord, and a place on the game server, is free for everyone. These tiers are optional ways to chip in toward server costs and get a thank-you in return. This is a membership, not a storefront.

VIP starts as soon as your payment lands and your Steam account is linked. If you paid before the server went live, your time was banked and started counting from launch day rather than your payment date, so buying early cost you nothing.

VIP is live and confirmed working. The server reserves slots by Steam ID, and the bot keeps that list in sync automatically from who has paid or earned it. When we first sold VIP we said nobody had run it against a live server yet, and that we would tell you when it was confirmed. This is us telling you. One detail worth knowing: the server's reservations carry no expiry of their own, so we add and remove slots ourselves to make VIP last exactly as long as you have paid or earned, and that is automatic too. If it ever stops working we will say so here and sort it out with everyone affected.

The VIP policy, stated openly

Mercenary and Warlord include VIP queue priority. We publish the full policy here because a community is hated more for hiding VIP than for having it, and it is the same policy posted in #rules.

Seeding earns the same VIP that paying does, and it is credited automatically. Seeding time counts from a seed ping in #seeding until the server reaches 20, for up to 2 hours (at half if it does not get there), plus an ignition bonus for being on when it does. Eight hours of it in a rolling 30 days gets you 30 days of VIP. This needs upkeep: your seeding in the last 30 days has to stay at eight hours or more, or the VIP you earned this way is removed. Keep seeding regularly and it renews on its own before that happens. A supporter tier is not affected by this, only VIP earned by seeding. You need your Steam account linked, because the server reserves slots by Steam ID. If you think you have earned it and have not been credited, say so in #support.

After you pay, two links

Both live at /link, and both take about a minute.

1. Your Ko-fi email. Ko-fi only tells us an email address. It has no idea who you are on Discord, so until you connect it we cannot give you anything at all. Skip this and nothing visibly happens; you will think you were charged for nothing.

2. Your Steam account. The game server reserves slots by Steam ID, so this is what VIP is actually applied to. Your role and colour work without it. Your VIP does not. One click, and we only ever see your Steam ID.

Gifting a membership. Run /gift in Discord to pay for a friend's tier. Your friend needs to be in the server, and it renews monthly until you cancel at /gift.

The rest comes out of my pocket, which is fine and is how it has worked so far. A 100 slot server costs $100 a month, and these figures are before Ko-fi's fees.

The wall

Warlords and Founding Wardogs, longest-standing first. This is the perk those tiers promise, and it updates itself: a lapsed membership drops off on its own.
