Supporter Terms

What you get

Warforge supporter memberships (via Ko-fi) are optional, recurring or one-time contributions that unlock cosmetic and community perks. Full membership in the Warforge Discord, and a place on the game server, is free for everyone whether or not you support us.

• Contractor ($3 per month): Colored role, Supporter badge, #supporter-lounge, Emoji suggestions.
• Mercenary ($6 per month): Everything in Contractor, VIP priority queue, Event signup priority.
• Warlord ($12 per month): Everything in Mercenary, Custom role name & color, Supporter wall, Guaranteed scrim slot.
• Founding Wardog ($25, one time, no longer sold since October 15, 2026): Permanent exclusive badge, Supporter wall, 6 months VIP.

When VIP starts

VIP starts as soon as your payment lands and your Steam account is linked. If you paid before the server went live, your time was banked and started counting from launch day rather than your payment date, so buying early cost you nothing.

VIP itself is queue priority only. It is never used to remove someone already playing, and VIP is capped at 9 of the server's 100 slots. Seeding the server earns the same VIP that supporters pay for, free of charge. See the full policy on the support page.

How VIP is delivered

VIP is live and confirmed working. The server reserves slots by Steam ID, and the bot keeps that list in sync automatically from who has paid or earned it. When we first sold VIP we said nobody had run it against a live server yet, and that we would tell you when it was confirmed. This is us telling you. One detail worth knowing: the server's reservations carry no expiry of their own, so we add and remove slots ourselves to make VIP last exactly as long as you have paid or earned, and that is automatic too. If it ever stops working we will say so here and sort it out with everyone affected.

VIP is delivered to a Steam account, because that is what the game server reserves slots against. Linking your Steam account at /link is therefore part of receiving VIP, not an optional extra: without it we hold a valid entitlement for you and have nothing to apply it to. Your supporter role and colour are unaffected.

Earning VIP by seeding

Seeding earns the same VIP that paying does, and it is credited automatically. Seeding time counts from a seed ping in #seeding until the server reaches 20, for up to 2 hours (at half if it does not get there), plus an ignition bonus for being on when it does. Eight hours of it in a rolling 30 days gets you 30 days of VIP. This needs upkeep: your seeding in the last 30 days has to stay at eight hours or more, or the VIP you earned this way is removed. Keep seeding regularly and it renews on its own before that happens. A supporter tier is not affected by this, only VIP earned by seeding. You need your Steam account linked, because the server reserves slots by Steam ID. If you think you have earned it and have not been credited, say so in #support.

Perks may change

Warforge is a community project, not a company. Perks, tier names, and prices may change as the project grows. We will do our best to preserve equivalent value for existing supporters when they do; an active recurring supporter keeps the perks their tier had at the time they subscribed unless a change is unavoidable (for example, a Ko-fi policy change or a platform requirement).

The community may close

Warforge is run by volunteers on donated time and community funds. We intend to run this for the long haul, but we cannot promise the Discord, the game server, or the project itself will exist forever. If Warforge shuts down permanently, all recurring memberships stop billing immediately and no further charges will occur.

Refunds

Recurring tiers (Contractor, Mercenary, Warlord) bill monthly through Ko-fi and can be cancelled at any time from your Ko-fi account. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period, for which you keep access. Founding Wardog is a one-time, non-recurring purchase and is non-refundable once the badge and role are granted, except as required by law.

Questions or disputes

If something looks wrong (a missing role, a duplicate charge, a payment that never applied), open a ticket in Discord or reach out before filing a chargeback with Ko-fi or your bank. We would much rather fix it directly.
