Supporter Terms

What you get

Warforge supporter memberships (via Ko-fi) are optional, recurring or one-time contributions that unlock cosmetic and community perks. Full membership in the WARDOGS Discord, and the game server once it exists, is free for everyone whether or not you support us.

• Contractor ($3 per month): Colored role, Supporter badge, #supporter-lounge, Emoji suggestions.
• Mercenary ($6 per month): Everything in Contractor, VIP priority queue, Event signup priority.
• Warlord ($12 per month): Everything in Mercenary, Custom role name & color, Supporter wall, Guaranteed scrim slot.
• Founding Wardog ($25, one time): Permanent exclusive badge, Supporter wall, 6 months VIP.

VIP activates at launch, and is banked

Mercenary, Warlord, and Founding Wardog include VIP queue priority on the game server. That server does not exist yet. VIP activates when the game server launches, not the day you pay: your VIP time is banked starting from the moment we take your payment, and only begins counting down once the server actually goes live. If launch takes longer than expected, you lose nothing — you still receive the full amount of VIP you paid for, starting from day one of the real server.

VIP itself is queue priority only. It is never used to remove someone already playing, and at most 10% of server slots are ever reserved for it. Seeding the server earns the same VIP that supporters pay for, free of charge. See the full policy on the support page.

Perks may change

Warforge is a community project, not a company. Perks, tier names, and prices may change as the project grows. We will do our best to preserve equivalent value for existing supporters when they do; an active recurring supporter keeps the perks their tier had at the time they subscribed unless a change is unavoidable (for example, a Ko-fi policy change or a platform requirement).

The community may close

Warforge is run by volunteers on donated time and community funds. We intend to run this for the long haul, but we cannot promise the Discord, the game server, or the project itself will exist forever. If Warforge shuts down permanently, all recurring memberships stop billing immediately and no further charges will occur.

Refunds

Recurring tiers (Contractor, Mercenary, Warlord) bill monthly through Ko-fi and can be cancelled at any time from your Ko-fi account. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period, for which you keep access. Founding Wardog is a one-time, non-recurring purchase and is non-refundable once the badge and role are granted, except as required by law.

One exception, specific to VIP: if Warforge shuts down permanently before the game server ever launches, any banked VIP time you paid for was never delivered. Contact us within 60 days of the shutdown announcement and we will refund the portion of your payment attributable to that undelivered VIP. This is the one promise we make about VIP that does not exist yet, and we intend to keep it.

What we do not know about VIP yet

Bulkhead has not released the WARDOGS server controls. As of this writing nobody outside Bulkhead, ourselves included, has seen how reserved slots or queue priority work, or whether the game supports them in any form. Every description of VIP on this site assumes a mechanism that has not been published.

We are telling you this before you pay rather than after. We will build VIP as soon as the tools exist. If it turns out the game cannot support it, we will say so publicly in the Discord and work it out with everyone affected individually. We are not going to promise a specific remedy for an outcome nobody can predict yet, because a promise made on a guess is worth less than a straight answer.

VIP is delivered to a Steam account, because that is what the game server reserves slots against. Linking your Steam account at /link is therefore part of receiving VIP, not an optional extra: without it we hold a valid entitlement for you and have nothing to apply it to. Your supporter role and colour are unaffected.

The same applies to earning VIP by seeding. That is a real commitment and it is credited by staff today, by hand. Crediting it automatically depends on the same unreleased server controls.

Questions or disputes

If something looks wrong — a missing role, a duplicate charge, a payment that never applied — open a ticket in Discord or reach out before filing a chargeback with Ko-fi or your bank. We would much rather fix it directly.
